Family Giving Tree of Milpitas' "Spread The Cheer" Award Goes to VPR's Molly

February 1, 2004 - Molly McCarthy, VPR Principal, was recently honored by The Family Giving Tree of
Milpitas for her work to publicize their holiday gift program. The Family GIving Tree gathers and
distributes gifts to needy children at Christmas. This past holiday season, they provided gifts to more
than 50,000 children in shelters and homes.
During the organizations' prime gift gathering period, they held a series of events including an Executive
Elf Challenge. McCarthy, together with Melissa Malley of Malley PR and Anne Hohenberger of Pinnacle
Systems, Inc, secured an amazing amount of coverage for the program as well as for their events. From
print, to radio to television coverage, the organization was in the public eye throughout the season.
At the organization's volunteer luncheon, held at National Semiconductor, Family Giving Tree founder
Jennifer Cullenbine awarded McCarthy with a special "Spread The Cheer" award for her efforts.
