Molly McCarthy, Principal, started her public relations career in 1992 at Cornerstone Imaging,
Inc., now EMC2. There, she launched a wide array of products including the popular InputAccel
platform that is still in use today. As well, she marketed the company's graphic design and monitor
subsystems for document imaging workstations. In 1997, McCarthy joined C-Cube Microsystems, now
LSI Logic. There, she successfully managed worldwide media and analyst relations for the company's
consumer, video production and PC products.
In 2000, McCarthy founded Valley Public Relations, a San Jose, public relations consultancy. Her client
list includes a wide array of tech and non-tech companies.
McCarthy holds a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley and completed the coursework for a M.S. in Mass
Communications and Journalism from San Jose State University. She has since returned to do
additional graduate work in the field of public relations. In 2010 and 2011 she was invited to speak at
San Jose State to journalism students on the subject of public relations. She is a member of PRSA
(Public Relations Society of America).
McCarthy is in her fifth year as a member of the National Charity League through which she serves the
San Jose Family Shelter, The Second Harvest Food Bank, The House of Grace, InnVision and more.
